Group Behaviors with Puppets
Group Behaviors with Puppets
Group behaviors and social interactions can be modeled using this fun puppet play activity. Using puppets to act out real world group behaviors and social interactions of birds, ocean animas, land animals, and insects, students will learn and explain the benefits of working in groups. Students will model group behaviors such as swarming, migrating, cooperative hunting, schooling, and more, to demonstrate how these behaviors improve reproductive success and individual survival.
Students can be a swarm of bees protecting themselves from an invading wasp; a colony of penguins working together to keep warm; a pack of wolves hunting together; and much more. Scripts are provided and can easily be adapted. Students can act out the play using puppets or perform it themselves using the mask option.
