Lewis Dot Paper Atoms (Free Resource)
Lewis Dot Paper Atoms (Free Resource)
We know money can be tight so this one’s on us!
The simple atoms are printed on paper for students to create extended structures. Use of paper is inexpensive and will ensure that all students have an equal chance to partake in the activity. With paper printouts, the atoms can be color coded to represent different types. Students will learn to develop and use models to create the structure of matter. They can use the Lewis dot diagrams to learn about the single, double or triple models. Additionally, there is a choice from simple to large molecules for students to use. Doing this activity in groups will help them learn the composition of molecules and relationship between its components. The Lewis Dot Paper Atoms meets the NGSS MS-PS1-1 Standard.
